CHEW WEI KEONG
- Independent Non-Executive Director
Mr. Chew Wei Keong (“Mr. Chew”) is a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants and a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants and the Malaysian Association of Certified Public Accountants. He joined Mega First Corporation Berhad (“MFCB”) since September 1990 as Group Accountant after having spent more than ten (10) years with a major accounting firm as well as other public listed companies by holding management positions. He was then promoted as Executive Director of MFCB since March 1995 and was re-designated as Group Chief Operating Officer in February 2003 up to September 2006.
He then joined the Company in November 2006 as Deputy Executive Chairman who was the advisor to the Chairman and Board of Directors (“the Board”). Mr. Chew also assisted in conducting Board meetings, assisted the Board in setting the Company’s direction and strategy as well as public relations with financial institution to secure financing for growth and expansion of the Company, until his retirement in September 2017.
Dato’ Ng Meng Kee (Nick)
- Non-Independent Non-Executive Chairman
Dato’ Nick Ng received his secondary education at Georgetown Secondary School, Pulau Pinang, until 1968 and has accumulated over 26 years of professional experience in the security seal industry. In 1998, he joined Fortris (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd as an adviser and consultant, following his brother, Datuk Adrian Ng’s invitation to jointly enter the security seal business. He was appointed director of Mega Fortris in 2001 and was promoted to be our Executive Chairman in September 2014. He was primarily responsible for our Group’s business expansion and revenue growth by expanding our Group’s range of security seal products and was also responsible for managing our Group’s public relations.
In August 2023, he took a step back from his executive role and was re-designated as our Non-Independent Non-Executive Chairman where he has assumed his current responsibilities.
Datuk Ng Meng Poh (Adrian)
- Group Managing Director & Group Chief Executive Officer
Datuk Adrian Ng earned a European Master of Business Administration from the Paris Graduate School of Management in May 2004 and brings over 30 years of work experience in the security seal industry. In 1995, he joined Fortris (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd as a director and shareholder, initially focusing on the marketing and trading of beverage products with his sister-in-law, Datin Chris Low Lai Peng, and his brother, Ng Meng Tatt. A year later, he spearheaded the company’s venture into the security seal sector, overseeing its expansion from trading to designing and manufacturing its own security seals.
Appointed as the marketing director of Mega Fortris in 2000, he also spent time seconded to Bloxwich Engineering Ltd in the United Kingdom from December 2000 to 2003, before returning to Malaysia. Upon his return, he continued his role as marketing director, driving the development of marketing strategies, enhancing the global sales network, overseeing product development, managing key client relationships, and identifying new business opportunities.
His leadership and vision for the company were recognized in September 2014 when he was promoted to Group Chief Executive Officer. In October 2023, he was further re-designated to the combined role of Group Managing Director Cum Group Chief Executive Officer. In this capacity, he is chiefly responsible for setting the overall direction and business development strategies of the group. Currently, he does not hold any directorship in other public listed companies, focusing his expertise and efforts on leading the group to new heights
NG WENG CHOI
- Executive Director
Ng Weng Choi completed his Bachelor of Business Administration at Newport University in California, United States of America, in July 1985, bringing over 27 years of professional experience to the security seal industry. His journey with Fortris (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd began in April 1996 as an administrative and accounts manager before being promoted to director in February 1997. His expertise and leadership were further recognized when he joined Mega Fortris in September 2000 as a general manager, where he oversaw various departments, including human resources, and accounts and finance.
Throughout his tenure at Mega Fortris, he has held the position of director for several years, contributing significantly to the company’s growth and operational efficiency. In September 2017, he was entrusted with his current role, where he is primarily responsible for the strategic planning, formulation, and implementation of strategies across the Group. His role ensures that the company’s strategic objectives are executed effectively and sustainably. Currently, he does not have any directorship roles in other public listed companies, focusing his vast experience and skills on the continued success and strategic development of Mega Fortris.
TAN KOK YANG
- Independent Non-Executive Director
Tan Kok Yang holds a Bachelor of Arts from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, earned in August 1984, and furthered his education with a Master of Business Administration from Southern Cross University, Australia, in September 2004. With over 33 years of experience in the banking industry, his expertise spans banking services and operations, as well as cash management, through various roles in both local and foreign banks. In October 2023, he was appointed as the Independent Non-Executive Director of the Mega Fortris. Currently, he does not hold directorship in any other public listed company.
LEW SIEW YEN
- Independent Non-Executive Director
Lew Siew Yen completed her Bachelor of Commerce, specializing in Accounting, at the University of Birmingham in July 1983. Since January 1990, she has been a certified public accountant with the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants, which was previously known as the Malaysian Association of Certified Public Accountants. With a career spanning over 34 years in the banking industry, she has amassed extensive experience in commercial and corporate banking, serving in various capacities within both local and international banks. In October 2023, she was appointed as the Independent Non-Executive Director of the Company. Currently, she does not hold directorship positions in any other public listed companies.
TEOH HOOI CHENG (JOYCELYN)
- Independent Non-Executive Director
Ms. Teoh Hooi Cheng is a Partner in Messrs. Cheah Teh & Su (“CTS”) since her pupillage in November 2010, where she trained under experienced senior counsel, gaining invaluable exposure to high-profile litigation. Over the years, she progressed through various roles, becoming an Associate, then Senior Associate, and ultimately a Partner in January 2021.
As a Partner at CTS, a top-tier litigation firm, she focuses on corporate and commercial court disputes. With over thirteen (13) years of experience, she has represented high-profile individuals and public listed companies in complex matters, including shareholder disputes, breach of contract, fiduciary and statutory duty violations, conspiracy and fraud. She has also successfully negotiated and drafted complex settlement agreements to resolve litigated cases.
She has also led trials, conducted hearings at all court levels and assisted senior counsels in Federal Court matters. Additionally, she offers legal counsel on corporate matters, advising on and preparing agreements related to joint ventures, share sales, asset acquisitions, employment, partnerships and franchise agreements.
